Fed State Artificial Colonic Fluid (FeSAC)
Artificial colonic fluid (sterile) is a solution that simulates the components and pH 6.0 of the colonic fluid and simulates the human-fed state of the colonic fluid. The artificial colonic fluid is mainly composed of physiological components (bile salt and lipids), Tris, Maleic acid, minerals such as sodium, and chloride. phosphate, etc. This reagent is sterilized by 0.2 μm filtration.
It is used to study drug interactions and modified-release studies of drug products intended for colonic delivery dissolved in fed-state colonic fluids.
