Simulated body fluids are laboratory-prepared solutions that reproduce the pH, ionic composition and key organic components of a real biological fluid such as saliva, sweat or urine. They give researchers and QC labs a consistent, contamination-free substitute for human samples when testing materials, devices, textiles, cosmetics, foods and pharmaceuticals.

Our formulations are prepared to published test standards. Artificial perspiration: ISO 3160-2, AATCC TM15, ISO 11641, BS EN 1811, GMW14334, ANSI/BHMA A156.18 and ASTM D2322. Artificial saliva: DIN 53160, AFNOR NF S91-141, ISO 10271, ISO 14801, ASTM E2720/E2721 and Fusayama/Meyer. Artificial urine: DIN EN 1616 and EN ISO 20696/20697. Test soils: ASTM F3208-20 and ISO/TS 15883-5.

Stabilized fluids contain a preservative so they stay usable for longer after opening; non-stabilized fluids are preservative-free for tests where an additive could interfere with results. Most products are offered in both versions. Choose non-stabilized for corrosion, biosensor or cell-based work, and stabilized for routine colorfastness or material-exposure testing.

Yes. Stabilizer, pH value, pack size and individual components of any simulated fluid can be adjusted to your project requirement. Standard pack sizes are 100 mL, 200 mL, 500 mL and 1000 mL, with prices shown per size on each product page. Larger bulk volumes and readymade powder kits for preparing fluids on site are available on request.

Ship at room temperature and store refrigerated at 2–8 °C; for long-term storage, freeze at –20 °C. Validity is typically 3 to 6 months from dispatch depending on the product and whether it is stabilized. The exact period is stated on each product page and on the Certificate of Analysis.

Most Biochemazone™ simulated fluids are supplied as sterile, ready-to-use solutions that can be used directly from the bottle. They are intended for in-vitro scientific research and product testing only and must not be used for clinical diagnosis, treatment or human consumption.

Artificial test soil is a standardized contaminant used to validate cleaning of surgical instruments, endoscopes and washer-disinfectors. Our ASTM F3208-20 and ISO/TS 15883-5 compliant soils (including blood, saliva, mucus and ophthalmic variants) let you prove that a cleaning process removes soil reproducibly.

Yes. Request an SDS or CoA through our SDS and CoA page, quoting the catalogue number and lot number printed on the product label. Documents are emailed within 1 to 3 business days.

Yes. biochemazone.in ships to laboratories, universities and companies across India and worldwide via UPS, FedEx or DHL, and in-stock items are dispatched within 5 working days of payment. Customers in Canada and the USA can also order from biochemazone.ca and biochemazone.com.

For in-stock items, we can do same day ship-outs for those customers that request rush orders. We must receive your order before noon if you would like the item shipped out that same day. The shipping speeds we offer are 3-Day or Ground for domestic shipments.

International shipments typically take shipping companies a few business days to deliver. For items that are not in stock, the delivery schedule will vary based on the item. Please contact our sales team to inquire whether a material is in stock.

We use UPS, FedEx or DHL – whichever you prefer.

Yes, we can ship ‘freight collect’ against your account with any of these shipping companies.

Apart from the product costs and shipping costs, we charge Handling fees. We also dispatch using ‘freight collect’, the consignee or shipment receiver is responsible for the shipping charges, as well as any ancillary charges.

Note that your country’s customs may impose taxes/fees/duties; these are not our responsibility.

Our sales team provides official quotes for you. However, you must first specify the billing address, shipping address with a postal code, e-mail address, phone number, and shipping method (i.e., shipping speed, whether or not it is shipping ‘freight collect’, etc.). We cannot create an accurate quote without this information.

We accept purchase orders from customers that have a credit history with us or have supplied us with one. You can fax, e-mail or mail the purchase order to us (see our contact section for more information).

Please make sure the purchase order has both the company/institution letterhead and authorized signature on it. Also, you must specify the billing address, shipping address, contact person, e-mail address, phone number, and shipping method. For international orders: please do not submit purchase orders written in languages other than English.

We accept three different ways to pay for your orders:

1. Direct checkout with Card: You can buy directly from the website using your credit as well as a debit card.
2. Wire Transfer: To arrange for a direct bank transfer, please e-mail our accounting department for our bank account details (We charge $20 for all wire transfer transactions).
3. PayPal and Stripe: We also accept payment through PayPal and Stripe.

We offer a 5-10% discount for academic research on some occasions only.

Not in all cases. Our materials are sold with priority given to customers whose payment we receive first, and whose delivery instructions we receive first. Thus, if payment delays or shipping-communication delays are preventing us from completing your order, another customer may get priority.

If there is a simulated fluid that we do not have in stock, then yes, it is generally possible for us to get it produced for you by our customization service. We would do a custom manufacturing run to produce it.
